Do You Charge For Multiple QuickBooks Files?
There is no extra charge for multiple QuickBooks files. With the Swizznet QuickBooks hosting and online accounting system each user account can have as many QuickBooks files up on the system as they need. We do not monitor the quantity of QuickBooks files you have uploaded on the system and many accountants put all of their QuickBooks files up on the system so that they can take advantage of the continuous off-site back up, security and the ability to access it from anywhere. Our pricing is per user account and is not based on how many QuickBooks files you store on our system.
How Many Users Can be in a QuickBooks File at One Time?
With Swizznet QuickBooks hosting we provide secure multi-user access so you and your users can be working in the same file at the same time. If you're using QuickBooks Pro or Premier you may have three to five user accounts accessing one QuickBooks file at any one time. In Enterprise you can have up to 30 user accounts accessing one QuickBooks file at any one time. These numbers are based on the software limitations within QuickBooks.
How is This Different From GoToMyPC?
Our QuickBooks hosting and online accounting system gives you more tools, faster speed, and doesn't require that you log into your or your user's computers remotely like GoToMyPC.
With GoToMyPC and other remote access tools you are actually logging into someone else's computer. When logging onto someone else's computer there are privacy concerns (as you can see their full computer and all their files and email), speeds can be very slow because the speed is dependent on both their internet connection and the speed of their computer, and there is the problem of having to schedule access. In addition, printing can be problematic with these types of tools.
With our QuickBooks hosting solution you and your users are both logging in to a secure, remote network and can both be working at the same time with a fast, easy-to-use virtual desktop, complete with seamless printing. What Happens to My Data if I Cancel Service or if Swizznet Closes its Doors?
Your data is always protected and owned by you. As part of our QuickBooks hosting and online accounting terms and conditions, you own your data and all of your data will be protected and made available to you no matter what.
Upon cancellation of service, you can drag and drop them back to your local computer -- if you need help with this process you can call our technical support team and they can help you move these files back to your computer.
In the very unlikely event that Swizznet was to close their operations you would be given ample notice and support to move your files back to your local computer. If for some reason that was not feasible we would put them on a CD and send them to you via certified mail.
How is Swizznet Different from QuickBooks Online?
QuickBooks Online can be a great product if it works for your business, but unfortunately it’s a fairly limited offering when compared with Intuit's QuickBooks desktop software versions (Pro, Premier or Enterprise) and it is an entirely different program to learn and navigate than the desktop software editions. Swizznet is an alternative to QuickBooks Online for those businesses that require the anytime, anywhere access of QuickBooks Online, but also need the ability to do inventory, grouping, and other features only included in the full desktop versions.

No. Swizznet QuickBooks hosting will charge you, the accountant, directly on a per-user, monthly basis. You can pass these charges along to your clients or not - whatever is most appropriate for your accounting practice. If you choose to mark up the charges to your clients we can provide suggested pricing. We will only charge your clients directly if you prefer that method.
What Collaboration Tools Do You Offer?

Do you offer custom branding of the virtual desktop?
Yes. We can customize the look and feel of both the login page and virtual desktop. The cost to setup a customize login page and virtual desktop is $1000 for the setup and design time.
Intuit requires that all custom pages still display a small Powered by Swizznet logo and our standard disclaimer text at the bottom of the pages.

What Happens if my Internet Connection Goes Down?

How Do I Scan Documents Directly to Swizznet?
If you have scanning and document management access with your Swizznet QuickBooks hosting, you or your users can scan documents directly to your Swizznet storage drive to make that bookkeeping and online accounting process easier.
We recommend several different compact, sheet-fed scanners. The scanners we recommend are able to scan receipts and other document types quickly and easily. If you or your users already have a scanner, chances are good that it will seamlessly integrate as well because any scanner with a Twain driver can be used on our system and most scanners come with a Twain driver.
With the direct scanning, your users can scan directly to the secure online accounting system and you can immediately access their scans for processing. There is no uploading or downloading required.

Do QuickBooks add-ons work with your system?
There are thousands of different add-on's available that integrate with QuickBooks and unfortunately there is no set standard for how they are designed to sync or integrate with QuickBooks. Our redundant hosting environment is compatible with all applications that can sync with QuickBooks via the QuickBooks Web Connector, IIF import/export or via the Intuit Sync Manager. The Intuit Sync Manager is built into QuickBooks and allows all applications available in the Intuit App Center to sync with QuickBooks in our hosted environment.
Our system is built to be fully redundant and load-balanced to maximize speed and reliability- unfortunately this means that in the shared environment we cannot support add-on's which require something to be installed on the same server as QuickBooks.

Do I Need to Backup My QuickBooks Files on Swizznet?
No.There is no need to manually backup your data on the system. Our QuickBooks® hosting and cloud computing solution is the only one to offer you continuous backup. This means that your live data is being backed up every 30 minutes, so if you have a file problem, we can go back to versions from 30 minutes previous up to one-year previous. Daily backups are available for 30 days and then the first backup of each month is available for one year.
We make every reasonable effort to backup your live files on the system. To keep costs down and to be able to offer storage without size limits we do not backup your QuickBooks backup (.qbb) files on the system - only your live data files. If you would like to make manual backups of your QuickBooks files you can make them to your Z drive and then move them to your local computer for long-term storage and archiving.
