Hosted QuickBooks Tip of the Week: Network Error Trying to Access Your Applications – Updated (Rockettab)

If you are getting the following error when trying to launch your application, you may have accidentally installed Rockettab (previously known as Browser Safeguard) – this is a sneaky add-on that is installed alongside other software.  It is not malicious in nature; however, it does prevent our applications from launching.

The error reads:

Unable to launch your application. Contact your help desk with the following information.  Cannot connect to the Citrix Xenapp server network issues are preventing your connection. Please try again. If the problem persists, please call your help desk.

If you are experiencing this issue, go to your list of programs to uninstall and check to see if Rockettab is listed.  If it is listed, you will want to uninstall it.

To uninstall it, please go to Start -> Control Panel -> Programs and Features (or Programs), and locate Rockettab in the list of installed programs. Right-click on it and select to Remove or Uninstall.
